At Leaders in Training (LIT), our programs equip individuals, especially those from vulnerable and underserved populations, with the leadership and life skills needed to thrive because EVERYONE deserves a bright future.

 

Each program is practical, engaging, and designed to create lasting impact for participants and the communities where they reside.

STEP 1: SELECT PROGRAM

Each program centers on three essential pillars: leadership development, life skills, and drug and alcohol prevention and awareness. All content is intentionally designed to be age-appropriate and responsive to the unique needs, experiences, and situations of the individuals we serve. LIT programs consist of 60-minute classes and are offered in 10- and 20-week series to support the unique needs of your community.

Each curriculum package includes facilitator training to ensure confident and effective delivery, along with ongoing coaching and support from the LIT team throughout implementation. This approach equips facilitators with the tools, guidance, and partnership needed to create lasting change in their communities.

COMPREHENSIVE CURRICULUM

The curriculum package is delivered as a downloadable PDF and includes both a facilitator guide and a student workbook for seamless implementation.

 

LIT provides an evergreen, step-by-step facilitator guide designed to make teaching simple and effective. Each guide includes word-for-word language for facilitators, along with supply lists, preparation tips, and best practices. Interactive activities are built into every lesson to engage participants and reinforce key concepts—so facilitators can focus on connection, not guesswork.

FACILITATOR TRAINING

Leaders in Training (LIT) provides hands-on training to equip teachers and facilitators with the confidence and tools needed to deliver our programs effectively.

 

Training includes guided onboarding with the LIT team, a walkthrough of the curriculum and lesson flow, facilitation strategies tailored to diverse learning environments, and best practices for engaging youth and people in vulnerable populations. The facilitator also receives practical support in creating safe, inclusive spaces, managing group dynamics, and reinforcing leadership, life skills, and prevention concepts in age- and situation-appropriate ways.

ONGOING COACHING

Class instructors receive ongoing access to the LIT team, ensuring consistent support before, during, and throughout program implementation. From initial preparation to lesson delivery, facilitators have direct access to guidance, encouragement, and best practices, with the LIT team available to answer questions, provide feedback, and support successful outcomes at every stage of the class.
